Road traffic safety managament systems 

The standard is part of the measures provided in the Global Plan of the UN General Assembly for the decade of actions to ensure road safety 2011 - 2020 and part of the strategy for improving road safety of the Republic of Bulgaria for the period 2011 - 2020. It sets requirements for the implementation of a road safety management system and enables an organization that interacts with the road system to reduce deaths and serious injuries related to road accidents. This standard is applicable to all public and private organizations that interact with the road system: freight forwarders, transport companies, commercial organizations offering delivery of goods and services to customers, courier companies, domestic transport organizations, road construction companies, organizations, engaged in the maintenance of the transport infrastructure, etc.
